David Baer, MD

• Biography:

  Raised in upstate New York, I majored in English literature at the University of Michigan before coming to California for medical school. 

• A career in medical oncology has been a richly rewarding combination of exciting, breathtaking science, deeply moving relationships with patients and families, and meaningful collaborations with colleagues from a range of different specialties. There is no profession like medicine that can combine these attributes with such synergy and balance. I truly love my work and am deeply grateful that I have had the opportunity to pursue my interests.
